On your device
A random visitor id lives in localStorage so we can count unique visitors. A tab id
heartbeats while this page is open so the header can show how many people are watching.
Append ?reset=1 to clear this browser’s race cache — that does not wipe
the shared board.
On the board
When you bid we store the website URL, brand name, logo or favicon, dollar amount, and time. After a real payment we also store Stripe session and payment ids — not your card. Online counts come from those short-lived pulses. No name, email, or home address is required to watch.
